Our Urban Eden is a small community garden on Bellamy Hill.
It is much loved.
Here's an aerial shot of the space.

Urban Eden currently has 28 raised beds, 4' x 14'
We want to add another row of beds to the south, 14 more preferably.

We have 2 beds free for waiting list of close to 40 people so far and
expect many more requests as spring nears.

Here are some photos of our space from ground level:
A garden view facing east down the centre of the existing beds

The same view from Bellamy hill facing west

We have many local guests and have met friendly out-of-towners who've seen the
garden from their hillside hotel rooms and come down to walk through and visit.

We've enjoyed offering free programs for children. Here's a paper-making workshop
with Dawn (green hat) for the Inner City Children's Group.

It's a quiet place for wildlife

Though the bath is always busy...

We all pitch in together in the spring to get the garden ready

And enjoy our open houses with the community

The garden was started by the downtown community association and continues today
with the support of DECL, the downtown community league.
